HOW TO PERFORM A PERFECT ABLUTION "WUDU'U" AS RASULULLAH (SAW) DID

HOW TO PERFORM A PERFECT ABLUTION "WUDU'U" AS RASULULLAH (SAW) DID.

My good brothers and sisters in Islam, may ALLAH swt bless  all of us and may He guide us to the right path of Islam and give us a strong faith in Him.

Its not hidden from you as a Muslim or a Muslimat, that Islam as a religion has many demands and obligations on you as a Muslim. And in Islam, before you do most of our rituals, you must or you are required to follow certain laid down rules or else, your deeds or Ibadaah will never be accepted.

Today, I want us to learn a little about how we perform ablution in Islam before we offer our Salat. Even though, performing ablution is require in most of our rituals in Islam, only that its  a must when you intend to offer your daily prayers or perform "Tawaf" around the ka'baah. These are the only two places where ablution or (Tayammum) is a must unless, some legal issues prevent you.

Reported by Abu Hurairat (rta), RASULULLAH saw said:

He has no prayers, or his prayers will not be accepted the one who did not perform ablution before praying, and no perfect ablution for anyone who did not mention ALLAH's name (Bissimillah) on his ablution.

And the Holy Quran says:

O you who believe! When you intend to offer As-Salât (the prayer), wash your faces and your hands (forearms) up to the elbows, rub (by passing wet hands over) your heads, and (wash) your feet up to ankles. If you are in a state of Janâba (i.e. after a sexual discharge), purify yourself (bathe your whole body). But if you are ill or on a journey or any of you comes after answering the call of nature, or you have been in contact with women (i.e. sexual intercourse) and you find no water, then perform Tayammum with clean earth and rub it with your faces and hands. ALLAH does not want to place you in difficulty, but He wants to purify you, and to complete His Favour to you that you may be thankful (5:6)

As you can read from the tail of the verse. It says, ALLAH does not intend to put any difficulties on us, but to purify us. that's why in the absent of water, you can perform "Tayammum or Taymama" with dry sand.

Its reported that, Sayyidna Uthman Ibn Affan (rta) the 3rd Khlifat of RASULULLAH (saww) once said to other companions that He was going to show them the perfect way of performing ablution as did by RASULULLAH (saww).

Reported by Hamran "an aid to Uthman"  (rta), that Sayyidna Uthman Ibn Affan once called for a kettle for ablution: then he poured water on his hands (wrist) and washed them three time, the he put his right in the kettle fetched some water, and he gargle, then he inhaled some water, then he spread it out. Then he washed his face three times, then he hands to the elbow three times, then he rubbed his head (including the ears), then he washed his both feet three times. Sayyidna Uthman the said:

I saw the messenger of ALLAH performed ablution the way I did, then the messenger of ALLAH said:

Whosoever performed this my kind of "wudu'u" then prays two Raka'ats with and did do say or do any evil within him, his present and past minor sins will be forgiven.

By following the directions above, you should be performing the perfect ablutions as required in Islam.

As in indicated earlier, performing ablutions is not only for prayers, but almost everything you intend to do in Islam, its recommended you perform ablutions first in you can. be it, you want to read the holy Quran, start studies, family meeting, wedding, attending any Islamic gathering, or before going to bed, especial before sleeping with your wife or husband. all this situations are good for you to be on ablution if you can. Please, as illustrated in the picture bellow. follow it and learn more.

May ALLAH guide us and accept our Ibaadah and bless us. And may the peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon our beloved RASULULLAH (SAW), His family members and his companions.
